1983-84 ESPRIT TURBO SUSPENSION - SUPPLEMENTARY DATA
Data source has been taken from one 1983 US Spec Turbo Esprit
NOTES:
The following table provides information that is not provided in the Lotus Service Notes or Parts Manuals. OE Suspension geometry settings are quoted in the Lotus Manuals. Those settings, and additional supplementary information, will be published as information becomes available.
Units are imperial, unless noted.
Dimensions are currently plus/minus 0.15"
The numbers marked in the "LOWER 1.5" columns apply to the proposed coilover conversion kit. Ride height adjustment would be available to permit lowering the car from about 0.75" to 1.5" from OE. Target is for a total range of travel of at least 5.0" (2.5" bump and 2.5" droop) when the car is lowered to the 1.5" setting.

*Current measuring tolerance errors would effect the results relating to the "Spring Loads at Ride Height".
**Approximate values. To be confirmed soon.
Important note: Whenever you make an adjustment to your ride height or suspension, always have the corner weights re-balanced, and geometry checked by an experienced chassis technician. All kinds of ill handling can result if this is not done.
