NOTE ON HOW TO EDIT THIS WIKI!!!
Because this wiki has been spammed numerous times (and I haven't been checking up on things that often since my Esprit is engineless), I've added a password to edit all pages on this site. This password is "esprit" (but replace the "e" with a "3"). Sorry for having to do this, but I need to protect the site somehow.

Secondly, drive you car. Most owners agree that the best maintenance of the car is to drive it on a regular basis (it's why you got the car anyway right?) They are fairly reliable cars (for being ~20 years old.)
Lastly, get the AAA Plus (or some kind of auto club if you're not in the US) membership. Sure it costs $90/year, but with Plus you get 100 miles of towing which would easily cost you $200+.

There are two books that are vital to any Esprit owner (even if you don't plan on wrenching on your own car,) these are the Lotus Service Notes and the Lotus Service Parts List. If you're patient they occasionally show up on eBay, they are also available from the various parts dealers. These are nice three ring bound manuals that show how to disassemble & reassemble the bits of your car.

As a general rule of thumb, if you disagree with something that is written, rather than deleting content make a note above the questionable content (you may want to highlight such content in red.) Site Update:
(March 19)
I thought I had removed the security from uploads. I guess I was wrong. I spent some time this morning and was able to pull out the security code the was preventing uploads. There shouldn't be any issues with uploads now.
(March 18)
Okay, the dust should have settled. For anyone who viewed the site over the last couple days may have noticed all manner of oddness. I think I cycled through 3 or 4 different templates, but each had it's own problems. I spent a couple hours today and built my own template from the ground up. If you notice any oddities or problems, please email me (or mention it on the newly formed message board.)
Additionally I've added a forum for various discussions. Hopefully this will replace some of the "closed" conversations we've had via email. I didn't set up the forum to replace other forums such as Piston Heads and Yahoo, but to instead discuss issues related to this site. If you need technical questions answered, you'll probably have better luck on one of the forums with more users. You will need to register in the forum to take part in discussions.
